Mozilla plans $25 smartphoneMethys Innovation Challenge Worth R50,000 To support the seeding of innovative start-ups in the Western Cape, the Methys Technology group organizes the Methys  Innovation Challenge to provide Western  Cape entrepreneurs with an opportunity to  pitch a project and receive  a R50000 subsidy in  development  value  for a  Website or a  mobile application (Android, BlackBerry, iOS or Windows).
 
The Methys    Labs    Innovation    challenge  is about providing Western Cape based entrepreneurs the possibility to deliver a digital innovation to their start up    or  existing business.
A  development  value of  R50,000
A  development  value of  R50,000 – to be used against     development of  either a digital store, a   Website or a   mobile application (Android, BlackBerry, iOS or Windows)    will be awarded to the entrepreneur(s)  coming  out with    the most innovative concept.
Criteria such as  business idea viability, disruption potential, customer adoption potential and  design will be used for the    determination of the winner. A panel comprising Methys folks and independent business people will adjudicate the award, which will be announced  at the December  13th Cap40  event at the Mount Nelson.
