Kampala hosts Open Data Day

Kampala is joining 110 cities on February 22nd in spreading the word of Open Data with a dedicated Kampala Open Data Day.

One of the organisers Outbox, tells Appsafrica.com they have invited all key players in the Open Data space in Uganda to come and share what they are doing. Journalists, M&E Specialists, Policy Makers, Statisticians, Geographers, anyone who can leverage from Open Data should attend this Open Data Day.



Open Data Day is a global gathering of citizens in cities around the world to write applications, liberate data, create visualizations and publish analyses using open public data to show support for and encourage the adoption of open data policies by the worlds local, regional and national governments.

This day is meant to bring together everyone and anyone who is interested in Open Data. Organisers want techies, journalists, NGOs, government officials, students, hackers, geographers, whoever, to join in the movement.
