aKoma Partners With Africa Tech Summit Kigali To Deliver Creative Tracks

Africa Tech Summit Kigali has announced a partnership with aKoma Media who will be producing the Creative Track for the Summit taking place at Marriott Kigali on February 14th and 15th 2018.

The pan-African tech Summit supported by the Rwandan Minister of ICT and RwandAir is set to connect industry leaders from across Africa. Over 50 Speakers including Facebook, Andela, Safaricom, Andela, DMMHeHe, Taxify, BitPesa, BRCK, iHUB, Boomplay Music and many more will share key insights, opportunities, and trends from the African tech, creative and investment ecosystem.

Joining leaders from across Africa will be trailblazing creatives, storymakers, marketers, and communicators who will be part of an exciting track of creative sessions inviting everyone to elevate the conversation on Africa’s creative ecosystem, raise challenges and solutions through action-oriented discourse.

The Creative Track will shine a light on engaging topics ranging from investing in the creative business, the rise of Africa’s digital superstar content creators, and the evolution of brands into storytelling and entertainment companies — ultimately creating a bold creative agenda that flips the script. The inclusion of the creative track is an acknowledgment of the importance of the content and storytelling sectors in propelling Africa’s future.

“We are really excited to be working with aKoma as our Creative Partner for Africa Tech Summit Kigali  — and showcasing many creative talents from across Africa” said Andrew Fassnidge, founder of Africa Tech Summit Kigali.

“Our vision is to not only amplify the opportunities and innovations that are being enabled by tech on the continent, but also provide real context and breadth by adding the ever important creative ecosystem to our agenda. aKoma brings the creative energy to the program that helps us advance this, and we are excited to provide a platform for creatives who are blurring the lines between tech and creative spaces.”

“This is a no brainer for us, as we argue that the media/creative entrepreneur is probably the most important entrepreneur today for Africa,” said Zain Verjee, CEO and co-founder of aKoma. “Andrew and his team have created an incredible platform for leading technologists, entrepreneurs and investment folks interested in Africa. With the Creative Track, we are bringing to the mix a fun group of content creators, storytellers and creative business types that will add new dimension to the program.”

The Creative Track of the Africa Tech Summit Kigali will be captured via a full slate of high quality content shot and edited by a team of writers, photographers and videographers carefully selected by aKoma.
