Spark and it’s partner Single Spark, both headquartered in the Netherlands, are launching a new program this summer where they plan to recruit up to 60 entrepreneurs to accelerate eight businesses that have proven market value. 

Both Spark and Single Spark have written and established best practices in the startup world. Spark has been working on the ground in Kigali, Rwanda to research opportunities that have worked in other countries and identify market gaps while Single Spark provides international innovate content. By joining forces, the two groups have built a toolkit called “Business in a Box”.

Once the entrepreneurs have been selected, they will work with Single Spark and Spark to put these fool proof kits into action. “We’re looking forward to recruiting our teams and kick starting our ideas with these toolkits,” says Violet Busingye , Program Coordinator for Spark. “It’s a cool experiment and we have a lot of faith that it will be successful.”

Sparks vision is to scale the “business in a box” concept to other countries. The “Business in a box” is every entrepreneur’s golden ticket to turn an idea into a value proposition. Besides market research, these entrepreneurs are receiving a year of coaching and mentoring from credible business coaches across the country as well as access to loans. Work space is also provided in the business incubations Spark helped to establish.
