300 African startups, investors, speakers and mentors from over 20 different countries across Africa and Europe will be at Seedstars Africa along with Appsafrica.com for the first edition of an annual Africa Summit on January 30th in Casablanca, Morocco.
Seedstars World, the global seed-stage startup competition for emerging markets and fast-growing startup scenes, is joining forces with StartupYourLife , one of the major Moroccan startup organization, to host Seedstars Africa proudly supported by Appsafrica.com.
After hosting competitions in 15 African countries, identifying the most promising startups and analyzing the local ecosystems, Seedstars World is now working on connecting the best and most promising entrepreneurs with ecosystem players, mentors, investors, corporates and other entrepreneurs across the continent. The event is supported by OCP Entrepreneurship Network, the entrepreneurship arm of the largest group in Morocco.

International mentors and speakers who have a vast experience and track record of building, growing and/or investing in startups will share their knowledge, insights and recommendations. Among them, Emmanuel Quartey, head of product of MEST in Ghana, Alexandra Fraser, Founding member of the African Business Angel Network (ABAN) in South Africa, Uri Gonda, experienced mentor and startup coach based in London, Hasan Heider, Venture Partner at 500startups based in Bahrein, Sam Gichuru, Co-founder and CEO of Nailab in Kenya.
The agenda of the conference include a panel about investment opportunities in African startups from active seed investors and business angels networks, a discussion about challenges and opportunities of digitalizing customers habits in emerging markets as well as an overview of the different startup ecosystems and what they can learn from each other.
