The event will take place at Cre8 Space / Cafe Neo (6\, Agoro Odiyan\, Victoria Isalnd\, Lagos) at 6:00PM and is hosted by VC4A and the Lagos Angel Network team.\nWe also expect our special guests from Oxfam – alliance partners of VC4A in the Work in Progress! Project. The project aims to improve youth employment in Nigeria\, Egypt and Somalia. \nWe have a big reason to celebrate – the launch of the redesigned VC4A.COM platform\, the new home for VC4Africa community. For all guests arriving before 6:30 pm the first drink is on the house! \nThe central question for the member entrepreneurs and investors will be: What do you think of the new VC4Africa platform? \nThe event is free of charge\, there is no agenda\, no speakers and everyone is expected to pay for their own drinks. DESCRIPTION:We believe the big opportunity for impact in tech lies in connecting the Global South; the nations of Latin America\, Africa\, Middle East and Southeast Asia. These regions account for 5.6 billion people\, 80% of the total world population of 7 billion. There is incredible opportunity to innovate and build as these communities shift from the Industrial Revolution to the Internet Revolution. \nThe goal of the Global South Tech Meetup is to connect these emerging tech ecosystems with the European/US ecosystems and vice versa.
